ANTHROCON
Program Book
Carolyn Kelly was Guest of Honor at Anthrocon 2007, helping celebrate all types of anthropomorphic comics. She drew the wraparound cover for the program book for this year's theme, "Looking Toward the Future." The book is filled with anthro fan art as well. We have a very limited supply of these and will likely not be able to get any more.
8-1/2 x 11", $15.00
The reissue on CD of "Songs of the Pogo." This CD contains all of the songs on the original record, plus Walt Kelly reading the texts of the children's books "NO! With Pogo" and "CAN'T! With Pogo," Kelly and Norman Monath (who wrote the music) rehearsing, and Kelly reading the introduction to "The Pogo Papers," which includes the first appearance of the phrase "We have met the enemy and he is us." $15
"Pogo Files for Pogophiles: A Retrospective on 50 Years" by Selby Daley Kelly and Steve Thompson is intended as a companion volume to Kelly's own "Ten Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Years With Pogo." It covers the strip by topics and time frame and, naturally, is heavily illustrated in color and b&w. This 256-page book draws upon unpublished material as well as more familiar, and the authors confidently guarantee that every reader will find something in here they haven't seen before. Hardcover edition, regularly $35, special $25.
The Pogo Collector's Series reprints Beau Pogo, Equal Time for Pogo, Impollutable Pogo, Pogo Puce Stamp Catalog, Pogo Sunday Book, Pogo Sunday Punch, and The Return of Pogo. (Deck Us All With Boston Charlie, Prehysterical Pogo, and We Have Met the Enemy and He Is Us are also part of this series, but are no longer available.) Uniform blue hardcover sewn binding, printed on acid-free paper, these copies will hold up for hundreds of readings. Excellent for both the casual reader and the collector who doesn't want to risk damaging their fragile paperbacks.

"Walt Kelly and Some Swamp Friends." A rare depiction of Kelly and some of the denizens of the Pogofenokee Swamp together, this is a previously unpublished drawing by Walt himself from 1962. Kelly's wife, artist and animator Selby Daley Kelly, colored the artwork in 1991, and the result is available in an 11x17" print. Produced on heavy art paper, the print comes shrinkwrapped and mailed flat.
Web special, print, $10.
Postcards. Same artwork as the print, but mailable. 12 cards, $3.00
"Pogopedia" is a fabulous compilation of characters, episodes and pieces of Pogo-ana. Part encyclopedia, part trivia quiz, part sourcebook, the Pogopedia will help you track down that elusive or partially remembered strip. Paperback, 256 pages. $20
Walt Kelly letterhead. Authentic sheets from Kelly's personal supply. Two sheets, both grey on grey are shown in the photo. The first sheet, with the frieze of characters across the top, was used for the bulk of his letters. The second sheet, with the Swamp scene at the bottom, was less common and only used for longer letters. An uncommon and attractive set. Packaged in a mylar sleeve for protection. $15
